Fraud warning

We take every report and suspicion of fraud seriously. From time to time we find companies using our name, or names very close to ours, without permission. That can cause confusion and spread false information about us and our services, so we have published this notice to help you protect yourself.

Why we publish this warning

Impersonation is one of the most common ways people lose money online. A copied website, a cloned social media account or a message from someone claiming to be our employee can look entirely convincing, especially when it uses a real logo and a similar domain name.

Those behind such schemes often start with a promise of high or guaranteed returns, then ask for a "fee", a "tax payment" or an extra deposit before any money can be released. We never operate this way. Our aim here is to make sure that you can tell the difference before you share any detail or send a payment.

Cloned companies

If you suspect that you are dealing with a clone that uses our brand, name or logo, do not give out any personal information, and tell us straight away by email at [email protected].

Signs of a clone

  • A website address that is not exactly aureo-flowdex.org
  • A sender address that is not [email protected]
  • A promise of guaranteed, fast or risk-free profits
  • Pressure to deposit now, or to pay a fee to withdraw
  • A request to install remote access software

How to check

  • Type our address into the browser yourself rather than following a link
  • Look for the personal security phrase in every genuine email
  • Search the FCA Warning List for the company name
  • Call back using the contact details on this website, not those in a message

What we can and cannot do

We are constantly working to identify every company that copies us, but we stress that some of them may stay unidentified for a period of time. Clients should always check the legitimacy of any firm they deal with online before sharing personal data or starting any business relationship.

We are aware of cases where our name and personal data have been misused for fraudulent purposes that we cannot influence or control. While we deeply regret the financial losses suffered by anyone who has experienced them, Aureo Flowdex cannot accept responsibility for any fraudulent transaction carried out in our name by a third party.

If you think you have been targeted

  1. Stop all contact

Do not reply, click further links or send more money, however urgent the message sounds.

  2. Tell your bank

Call the number on the back of your card or on your bank's website at once. Payments reported quickly are sometimes recoverable.

  3. Report it

Report the fraud to the police or the UK national fraud reporting service, and email us so that we can take action against the website or account.

  4. Secure your accounts

Change passwords on any account that shares them and revoke the API keys on your exchange.
